Southern Iowa is famous for its rolling hills and timbered ravines. This lakefront acreage has an excellent shoreline area that leads out to the main body of Sundown Lake. Over 4 surveyed acres and 205 feet of lakefront. Electric and rural water are accessible from this end of the road location.
Great boating, fishing, swimming, and water related activities can be found at Sundown Lake. Several miles of private dead end roads make the perfect hiking areas to explore and enjoy. Sundown Lake has an abundance of songbirds and wildlife most known for its deer and turkey population.
The lake offers a variety of species of fish which include Walleye, Largemouth Bass, Black Crappie, White Crappie, Blue Gill, Catfish, Sunfish, Carp and others. Fishing this lake for the first time can be challenging but also very rewarding with Crappies as large as 4 lbs. and Bass bigger than 8 lbs. caught here in the past few years.
Boating the lake you will find a few quiet no wake areas, but most of the lake is up for whatever water sport you fancy. Canoeing and kayaking is also very popular at Sundown Lake.
