Fishing Regulations

Lake Sundown has an established amount of a variety of fish making it great for fisher people of all ages. Crappie, Blue Gill and Sunfish are readily found throughout the lake, Bass and Walleye offer anglers the challenge of catching a trophy fish. Channel Catfish and Bullheads can also be caught to offer a great meal. You can find a fish biting at almost any time of the day.

  5. BLUE GILL – daily limit is twenty (20) per person, no length limit
  6. BULLHEAD – no daily limit
  7.  LIVE FISH Are Now permitted TO BE USED AS BAIT
  8. Remains of dressed fish shall NEVER be disposed of in the lake.
  9. No one shall introduce or stock any fish into the lake without prior written approval of the Association.
  10. Only property owners & their family members & guests have permission to fish the lake. Guests may fish from the property owner’s dock or shoreline. Either the property owner or a family member must accompany all guests on the lake.
  11. No one shall seine or net the lake for any reason.
  12. ICE FISHING – All fish that are caught while ice fishing shall be immediately returned to the lake unless you plan to dress them. No ice fishing shelters will be allowed overnight. All fishing rules & limits apply to ice fishing.
  13. No fishing tournaments are allowed without prior written approval of the Association.

VIOLATIONS OF THESE RULES MAY RESULT IN A $100 FINE AND POSSIBLE SUSPENSION OF FISHING PRIVILEDGES.
